| My kid is 16, over 6ft tall, and his lovey is still in his bed every night. He even has it in his lap most afternoons while he does his homework. In all other ways he's a happy, healthy, well-adjusted guy so I'm not stressed about it, but it does make me laugh when I see this giant teenage boy working on his physics assignments with the world's nastiest teddy bear in his lap. |
| I took Winnie the Pooh to college. |
| yes of course. both 18 yr old and 15 yr old!!! |
| yep, dd 14yo always sleeps with it |
| I once attended a wedding where the bride’s lovey was escorted down the aisle by one of the flower girls. |

I just sent my 11 year old to Outdoor Ed with his blankey, lol. I pushed it way down in his sleeping bag so he wouldn’t be embarrassed, but apparently my son said almost every single kid in his cabin had some sort of lovey, stuffed animal or security blanket with them. |
I love this! |
| I wouldn’t say she needs it, but DD17 still has the stuffed animal from her baby days in her bed. She certainly can sleep without it but we laugh at how the grungy thing is still with us! |
So cute! My DD would love this idea. |
| Same as others. My 14 year old DD still brings her blanket to sleepovers, on vacation, etc. |
|
11 year old still sleeps with his blankie, and brings it (discreetly) to sleepovers.
My very normal, accomplished, awesome 39 year old sister included her blankie in the "go pack" she made when they were evacuating due to a hurricane a few years ago. |
| I have mine (50 y.o.). I don't NEED it to sleep, but wow, it still has magical powers when I hold it to my cheek. DS 10 still has his old PJ top he loves, DD 12 has her favorite stuffy but it's been relegated to a shelf in the closet. |
| My 14 DD and 12 DS still both sleep with their blankies. They don't go on sleepovers. They do go on vacation and sleep away camp. |

I'm 51 and I have the Eeyore my godmother made for me still. He's so patched and raggedy but he's the one constant I had throughout my childhood of moving a lot (military). I had a lot of stuffed animals when I was little, and of course had to kiss each of them goodnight, but he got extra kisses under the covers where none of the other stuffed animals could see.
I took him to college with me and nearly lost him when I went on a weekend trip and accidentally left him in the hotel bed, but recovered him thanks to the kindness of strangers. I don't still sleep with him, I haven't in decades, but he's on a bookshelf in my bedroom. Strangely enough, none of my three kids ever sucked their thumbs like I did or ever developed an attachment to a lovey/blankie. But knowing how important Eeyore has been to me, I wouldn't mind of they had developed an attachment that lasted into their adult years. |
Love this. |
