Please Do Not Buy Other People’s Kids Guns

Anonymous
I've never encountered an anti-nerf gun person IRL. Probably because the whole family is weird and my kids wouldn't be friends with them anyways.
Anonymous
The real danger here is the caloric intake of Costco pizza. That alone will kill kids before a nerf gun...or real gun.

How many threads does one have for his or her kid’s birthday party?

op said "the guns will disappear" so presumably this was more than one gun. Sure wish OP would have been more specific. There are very few guns that are in the price range of a birthday party gift for a tween.

It would infuriate me too. Trashy, thoughtless and very annoying.

That person would never get another invitation.

it could have been a nerf gun or a water gun or a BB or anything else. Who the heck cares. They're all shockingly thoughtless.

Some of us are actually trying to raise decent citizens. You all should be SUPPORTIVE of that, not trying to sabotage it.

Completely thought to gift a nerf gun to a child with a party at a lazer tag arena where the goal is to shoot people.

So Super Soakers are now thoughtless gifts? Go unlock the 12 deadbolts on your front door and step out into the world and take a deep breath. It's kind of ok out here.

When DS was given Nerf guns, we exchanged them for a gift of his choice (if with a gift receipt) or donated (and we still allowed a gift of his choice, paid for by us). I would never give a gun and a gift, and am shocked others think this is ok

Are you also shocked that boys can grow up to be soldiers and police officers? And OMG, they all carry GUNS!!!!

So, you won’t give a gun as a gift...but, no issue donating them to the underprivileged?

Of course. Those underprivileged don’t have the finely tuned moral compass that PP does.
