I wear skirts because I love them not because they are "expected". And skirts are very comfortable - not tight pencil skirts but those that are in style right now.

And I certainly like to wear tights when it's cold. I am from Europe and I was horrified to see all those women in DC with bare legs when it was snowing - many had goose bumps or were red from the cold. That was so pathetic.

Isn't it weird how some people assume that what they norm? I wear dresses every day because I love wearing dresses. I was standing in my closet the other day wishing I had more dresses. I havd pants but I prefer dresses.

Wearing a dress + tights is as close to the comfort of wearing pajamas as anything that exists in this world.
