Huh? It was 33 degrees out this morning. I prefer to wear dresses and skirts, so I'm wearing tights so I don't freeze. I really dislike wearing pants. I see tons of women wearing tights.

I've been waiting for this whole make up trend to fade since Cleopatra. I mean, can we be over it already?

I love my tights, I don't want them to go anywhere. What would you wear in winter with skirts/dresses otherwise? Or are you also waiting for those to become "frawned on"?

Stop trying to make frawn happen

- tights — again has been on the decline and will continue to do so as people look for more comfort and as skirts stop being “expected” business/dress wear for women. I think a lot of women my age wear tights as a vast improvement over the idiotic pantyhose our mothers and grandmothers wore, but our granddaughters will probably just wear pants or bare legs if it’s hot out.
.

I wear skirts because I love them not because they are "expected". And skirts are very comfortable - not tight pencil skirts but those that are in style right now.

And I certainly like to wear tights when it's cold. I am from Europe and I was horrified to see all those women in DC with bare legs when it was snowing - many had goose bumps or were red from the cold. That was so pathetic.

Is the concern toxic ingredients? Books have been written about makeup, nail polish, deodorant and bathing products that are safer. For example, some nail polish companies promise they’re made without 5 or 7 (depending on the company) toxic ingredients that are found in old-school products. Essie is one of them, and it works well for me. After some experimentation, I’ve found a “safe” deodorant that works well and doesn’t smear grease all over my clothes.

If OP’s concern is beauty, the answer is “never.” And I enjoy makeup and such.

Put me in the pro-tights camp. I love the look of sweater skirts/dresses, tights and boots in winter.

Actually I would be very happy if most of those things were phased out. Who needs most of them? But I understand that other people enjoy them so go on and enjoy, folks.

"Sun tanning" is already much less popular, depending on where you live, due to skin cancer issues.

I think hair color will be the next thing to go, especially for people going gray. It's already becoming a trend.

Tanning will go out of style. It is already severely on the wane. I imagine that skin brightener sells better than self tanning products. I use skin brightener but no darkening products (and I am a white blonde of Nordic heritage).

You'll pry my tights out of my cold, dead hands. Y'all fashion victims with the bare legs in winter are nuts.

As another perspective, I live in the upper midwest where I sometimes wear tights under pants to stay warm. I think those are here to stay.

I do think perfume is going away pretty quickly.

OMG. The orange women using whatever tanner look absolutely ridiculous! Like Donald Trump looks! And yes, you are ORANGE. Please stop.

Not sure why "tights" are on this list; it's freezing outside and I sometimes wear them under pants as well as skirts.

You must not wear dresses and skirts! I like warm legs. I also like dresses and skirts. Therefore, I wear tights.

"Frawn upon"? What does that mean?

This! Anyone who doesn't like tights must not love dresses as much as I do. I wear dresses 4-6 days a week and DC gets cold. I'm not going to walk around bare legged like some sort of lost, drunk waif. And hose don't do the job. Black opaque fleece lined tights FTW.
