That said, this is the worst thread I've seen in ages. Stop it.

I semi agree. I find the Duggars just like the Kardashians. Disgusting, trashy fame-whores, but with a heaping amount of sexism and abuse.

On one hand, speculating on an innocent newborn is a pretty jerk thing to do. On the other hand, the fame whore parents and family bring it on themselves.

And trust me, if the baby does happen to have Down Syndrome, they'll make a TV show out of it and reap the $$$.

Throwing it all out there and inviting speculation is their bread and butter.

They built their massive 10,000+ sq ft house before the show was even popular. So they had $$$ beforehand.

They had a few reality “documentaries” under their belt before building the house. The house building process was featured in one of their specials or shows.

This is OP and I have no issues with how this family or any other family/person lives their life. But it just made me think of all of the babies and kids that family has had without issue. And the comments turned off got me thinking the family must think others will speculate, too.

Without issue?

They have babies obsessively, and have at least one pedophile (that we know about), and Michelle is dumb as a box of rocks:

They have a quiver full of issues.

She said overpopulation is a myth and that if every person IN THE WORLD was standing shoulder to shoulder they would fit in to a city the size of Jacksonville.

You really think some documentaries paid for that house? No. They did well for themselves before any of that.

The rumor is they claim their massive house as a place of worship and therefore don't pay any taxes on it.

They earned small potatoes in real estate before the reality gravy train started.

That entire family has shady finances, from unpaid taxes to real estate lawsuits.

Don't they get around taxes by operating as a church or some sh!t? Their house wasn't big or expensive - they did much of the labor themselves. Which great, kudos to them for learning/using those skills. They're still shady and disgusting as far as ethics and values go.

That is true. Jacksonville is 747 square miles. A square mile is 1,609 x 1,609 metres = 2,588,881 square metres. Multiplying the two, you could fit around 25,888,810 people in a square mile. That's nearly 26 million. Given the current world population of 7.7 billion, it follows that you could fit the entire global population into 297 square miles.

So you could actually fit the world's population twice within the city limits of Jacksonville.

That's a fact, not a rumor.

Wasn’t big? It’s over 10,000sq ft....

That doesn’t mean over population is a myth. It’s a nonsensical hypothetical scenario that proves nothing.

Wrong.

They made tv shows starting when they had 14 kids:

They had professional help on that house.
