I would be more concerned about the fact that she hasn't had a job outside of occasional babysitting in years |
No and I would not even want them around me. Same for smokers and heavy drinkers, which I define as having 3 or more drinks, beers, glasses of wine per day/evening. |
No. I would not be comfortable with that person watching my kid. Using pot every day isn't "recreational" usage, either.
I once knew two people who had pot habits like that - one has never been able to hold down a job and is still relying heavily on family to support them (now early 60's) and one is dead. Walking around spaced out and stoned is just no way to go through life. Trust your gut on this, Op. |
You have no idea if she'll be clean when she watches your child so I'd just say no. If it were a close friend who you knew respected you and your child, I might say it's ok (I have a friend who sometimes drinks too much when she's out socializing, but who would never drink when watching my child). Friend of a friend, no, even if you hadn't observed the recent escalating behavior. |
Nope, never, and I wouldn't be friends with someone who did. |
How about Xanax or any number of other drugs?
Depends on the person and what I know about them and trust (or not). Some of the myopic hypocrisy here is astounding but not really surprising on reflection. |
