I think it's a two-pronged question: (1) how much was spent and (2) what was it for? I guess I'd say we'd discuss anything over around $1K, but that only applies to things we weren't expecting. So if we knew a dog needed surgery whoever took the dog in would just pay for it. But if I came across a painting I wanted that we hadn't been in the market for, I'd mention it.
