Optimal roster sizes at U13 in general are around 15. Injuries are not as much a concern and in a full field transition year kids need lots of playing time. As kids get older roster sizes expand to 18 and beyond.

This is not really a DA or ECNL thing but a good way of handling U13.

If two keepers are available then a team will carry two. The transition to the big goal can be difficult for keepers until they hit their growth spurt.

Wow 15 is not much for 11v11.

Just reach out to the coaches and they will invite your kid to a practice session.

Cattle call ID sessions are late winter/early spring through the end of the season.

15 is about right for 11v11 at this age. Teams that are pushing 20 means a lot of bench time for too many players. Not great for their development.

Not really, it is actually pretty ideal and while tt certainly can be more but most good clubs will not want to hit 18 man rosters at this age.

They start in January. But you can email the club any time and come out to sessions.

My DD's DA team gets people monthly coming in throughout the year for a look. It picks up in the December/January time frame though.

15 players is ideal. Otherwise, several of the players will not get adequate playing time. I would even go down to 13 or 14 at U13 as the injuries are not as bad yet, outside of the growth issue. The only reason to increase roster size as they get older is because of injuries.

As kids get older, substitutions are strategic. At the younger ages substitutions are just random to give kids playing time.
