A neighbor told me that some of the 2019 parents felt that the Kavanaugh thing affected the 2019 college acceptances - in a negative way. Idk if this is true or if some parents were just angry their son didn't get into a "good/elite" school and used it as an excuse.

I hate to say it but after that fiasco with K, I’m not surprised. Being on Fox News, avoiding questions, etc... It was obvious he had a lot of character flaws. No way in hell would I send our son there.

How much do you want to bet that a larger than normal proportion of new students this year are international students?

There’s a significant amount of support for Kavanaugh at Prep especially among the faculty and staff that knew him, the alumni who went to school with him and the locals who know him from the neighborhood, Church or youth sports.

Just because a school is Catholic does not mean everyone attending is right wing, a republican, or even Catholic. Just because you may not like one particular graduate from a school does not mean all graduates and current students are the same person. Come on people, get over yourselves and stop spreading hate. Ignorant is the key adjective here as the Prep student body annually leads many powerful all school discussions on race and equity in our society. For goodness sake, they have been sending students and faculty to the Mexican border and marginalized communities multiple times a year for the last century to work with immigrants and at risk families! Moreover, the alumni base is much broader on political and social lines than the narrow caricatures portrayed by a few ignorant trolls!

Every high profile private HS gets shit on in this sub forum. Prep is no different. Doesn't make it any less petty but this is far from unique to Prep. It's actually a badge of honor IMO and make me proud to call GP my alma mater. People want to hate on Prep because of Kavanaugh let them. They're gonna be be mad for the next 30 years. They can double the hate because of Gorsuch. Who's the chairman of the Fed Reserve btw?
