You mean like "Would you like some fries with that?"?? |
I’m a 32 year old program manager at a defense contractor. I’m sure other will rip my salary to shreds but most of my coworkers are in similar majors |
+1 |
150k in DC is pretty poor for a college-educated person, who probably has family connections. |
A smart $150,000 English Major will hook up with another English Major that makes $150,000 for double the income @ $300,000/year. A smart family should be able survive on this income. |
I have no family connections. More than anything, I love my job and only work 40 hours. I work close to home too. I knew dcum would tear apart my job. |
^ LOL what an idiot. |
Smart, yes. Annoying AF, yes. I always found English majors to be a cult of people so enamored with their grasp of literature and out to write the same hackneyed novel shit you see in the store “The Farmer’s Daughter” “The Proctologist’s wife” etc...
That said, I think writing is a great and very employable skill to have. Every job I have had, and I have had many, required writing and I wish I were better at it. |
She spent a lot of time talking about NASCAR racing sign girls (her summer job). Definitely not my same intellectual level. |
What kind of store are you visiting? |
Not means she just had a different interest. You sound narrow minded and not very smart. |
^ *That, not "Not" |
Only if they go straight in to law school |
Double dumb |
Smart and Wise are two different things. |
