Full or half eternity band

I did half and regretted it. Had my ring made into an eternity band for my tenth.

All 3 of my rings - engagement, wedding and anniversary rings are full eternity. I love them. Never take hem off. The engagement and wedding bands are channel set so the diamonds are protected.

^^^This. I’m surprised only one person said this.

I'm the PP quoted ... the 3/4 doesn't spin and the coverage extends enough that the metal in the back isn't visible.

My choice was also based on the fact that the women in my family tend to get arthritis in their hands and swollen knuckles as they age. I'll need a resize someday.

Have a full and feel sorry for the halves. It is absolutely beautiful. Wear it by itself.

No need to feel sorry for me! Love that I have a very delicate half, worn by itself. I frequently wear it plain side up given the nature of my work and I love that flexibility. If I had a full I just wouldn’t end up wearing it much.

It's weird that you feel sorry for those of us who've made a different choice. I have a half but I don't sit around pitying people with full bands for having occasional discomfort from the diamonds touching their palm -- I assume you know what mattered to you and bought accordingly. Glad you like your ring but don't kid yourself that it makes you somehow better than anyone else.

This. I can no longer wear mine after menopause hit.

What decided it for me was that I realized I only like the 'look' of eternity when it is being displayed/not worn. Once worn, they all look like a half ring anyway, with the plus being they get less damaged and stay cleaner when it is a half ring.

So I was looking at a 5cttw eternity band and ended up sizing up and getting a 4 cttw half band with 4 diamonds.

I'm sure you can always tell.

What about 3/4 eternity? Both my engagement ring and wedding band are 3/4 (I think they call it a sizing band?) in case I needed to resize, but have nearly the look of a full band. My wedding ring is bezel set diamonds and does spin a bit so the three plain bezels face up but since it’s a small segment you can’t really tell. I also have a rose gold diamond full eternity anniversary band and wear it next to the other two and you can’t really tell the difference. I thought it would be more fragile but has held up just as well. I just don’t wear them to the gym.

I have a full eternity band but it is a very thin, dainty band. It is very comfortable but I do take it off when exercising or doing dishes. Otherwise I’m not super careful with it and haven’t had any problems.

I love my full channel set band and wear it solo. I think half looks dumpy.

Ugh, channel settings are so dumpy.

I have a full and it has never bothered me. I don't take it off and rarely clean it. It has been on my hand for 20 years.

this is pretty similar to mine: https://www.bluenile.com/bella-vaughan-for-blue-nile-grandeur-imperial-band_67505
