Not really a connection, other then Laguna Beach, which started the franchise, was actually called "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" in response to the popularity of Mischa's show The OC. Then the high schools kids graduated and Lauren got The Hills. The way they justify it, Mischa was in LA when the Hills was popular and would go to the same club and ran in the same circles as some of the cast. Not sure that is actually true, but that is what they are saying. I was also surprised to hear Whitney mention she went to high school with Spencer and Stephanie. This was not brought up on the original show - Whitney was on because she and Lauren interned together at Teen Vogue. |

The L’Oreal ad placement was over the top in the last episode... At least the first episode highlight the different makeup items in a more subtle way...
I did not recognize Jason Walker until they flashed the old pics of him. He’s clearly older but I think it was just that he wasn’t high. He looks different sober. Good for him though. Glad he’s doing well. |

| Just watched this week's episode. Stephanie is a psycho bitch. Mischa is way too meek when Stephanie treats her like shit. Audrina at least has the guts to call Stephanie a bitch to her face so she gets credit for something. And as much as Justin Bobby likes to wax poetic about how mature he is and how he doesn't get mired down in the petty bullshit, he's proving himself to be the most childish one on this show. |

I'm OP who was so excited for the reboot. The show is so boring. Can't believe they are renewing for season 2. My bar is super low people, and this is bad.
One plus is it does seem like Mischa is humbled and more mature. I watched her on DWTS a few years ago and she was a trainwreck. She seems to have mellowed and it's nice to watch her not have such an ego and worry about auditions etc. Could care less about the pratt's crystal business and can't take Audrina seriously. You have a child now, grow up. Where is Whitney??? They hardly show her. Brody is insufferable and his wife hurts to watch she is so thin. |
