400 prosecutors signed a letter stating otherwise.

There are millions of Americans, some of them Democrats and Independents, who would not be happy to see an impeachment trial move forward when the outcome of this investigation is that there really should not have been an investigation to begin with since there was no conspiracy.

Don't have current data, but, in 2008, there were over 5,000 current Assistant US Attorneys--federal prosecutors. Some of these are career people who work for years and others work only a year or two before going out into private practice.
So, please remember that there are likely tens of thousands of former federal prosecutors. This does not include the 94 US Attorneys who are appointed by the president and also are included on that list. Most of those serve only during one administration.

So, even if 1000 people sign, that is miniscule when you consider the number of former federal prosecutors.

This is NOT a partisan endeavor by any means.

You cannot tell by that list unless the person was in a political appointment. Career prosecutors work through several administrations--so, if it says they worked through Bush administration, it does not necessarily mean they are a Republican. FWIW, there are plenty of Republican "never Trumpers."

And, again, the number is miniscule int he scheme of things.

The reason Trump is not charged by Mueller, and subsequently not charged by Barr and Rosenstein has nothing to do with the OLC memo. Barr wrote it explicitly. 400 former prosecutors' opinion in this case is simply noise and has no real effect.
