DD got punished for peeing on the grass in the playground

This and I would be very upset that she couldn’t find a teacher. I would set up and conference to ask about how kids on the playground are supervised. Let them know you will explain to your daughter the rules. But she’s three - no punishment for the first time.

I bet the other kids were screaming about it and saying it was wrong and the teachers got swept up in that or wanted to remove her from that. Kids can be over dramatic that way but the teachers should know way better than to give in to a loudmouth or two.

Was an incident report provided? Ask for one. Have them put what took place in writing, just to have clarification of the occurrence. After that address in writing your concerns about why your child was unable to locate an adult to request going to the bathroom. Ask how it was possible for her to do what she did without it being intercepted and directed indoors.

I find it very unlikely that she couldn't find a teacher. More likely, there wasn't one right there, or the closest teacher wasn't her teacher who she felt comfortable with, and she chose to do something else. Three year olds are not reliable narrators of their experiences.
