Odd encounters at the mall

Please know that sometimes people with “invisible” needs or disabilities use these bathrooms. I know one middle age man that sometimes uses them when he needs to take injections and another woman that sometimes needs extra space due to needs related to Crohns. I had to remind my DH the other day when he was frustrated that he couldn't take our kid into the “family bathroom” because what he perceived as an able bodied person had just gone inside.

You just never know...

Although with OP’s specific instance, my comment probably isn’t applicable

I’m sorry. There should not be needle injections in the family restroom. That is so inappropriate and unhealthy.

This isn’t the airport. Go to your car or go home.

As for Crohns, why can’t she just use the regular stalls? Why monopolize the family room since flares can be lengthy. Inconsiderate.

Demand to see the condom! Great idea!

I would make a quip about how much less fun the rooms are after you have the baby rather than making it...

Transpeople use those bathrooms for their own safety.

Thank you for this as my DH is one of these people. The idea of one of the mommys from this thread sneering down her nose at him because little Bobby is entitled to that bathroom is infuriating. MYOB. Same types we get the sneers and under their breath lectures from when he has to use one of the scooter things at Wal-Mart.

Exhibit A.
Luckily you aren't the one who decides who can actually use these restrooms. You sound like an awful person here. I'm SO sorry that the special needs of the people you're talking about are making life inconvenient for you.

If either of the teens are younger than those ages, they are actually committing a crime. Yes, you report it to security!

In MD it's 14 if the other party is no more than 3 years older (common if it's teenagers); otherwise it's 16.
