Wilson seniors do not take a full load, as many/most have completed most of their high school requirements by the end of junior year. My kid only needs to take two classes next year to graduate (a full schedule is 8), but he'll take 5 because there are AP math and science classes he wants to take. He'll be done with school by noon some days or start late. This is exactly what I did as a high school senior, and I assume what most people who come into high school with advanced language and math credits do.

My kid and his friends frequently go to Whole Foods to (gasp) shop for food. I've never heard of anyone "wandering aimlessly."

The Metro can be a zoo after Wilson lets out. And some local fast food places can get a bit iffy. McDonald's figured out a while ago to play classical music, which discourages the Wilson kids from hanging out there too long.

Im not the person you're responding to, but who is mad besides you?There are shared spaces and civic expectations. Any adult who professes to know and not be 'scared' of the children while co -dining should also be comfortable giving gentle reminders and guidance about shared space. It would actually be greatly helpful and is a wonderful role they could play. As to the current go go controversy, I like go go a lot. I like DCs special place in go go history. I do think noise ordinances in general should not be selective. Can I have a loud party just because? Change the law if needed, but not sure about making a special one of exception. Muriel Bowser popping up at the demonstration was completepandering. Change the rules for this one store because why?
