Male student shoved into locker at Tilden Middle School

Anonymous
“Pushed into a locker” can mean “stuffed into a locker” or can mean “pushed and made contact with a locker.” Honestly, it would seem to me the second is more likely to result in an ambulance being called if there’s a banged head or bleeding or something. The thing about these anonymous boards is you never know if the purported first hand accounts are really first hand accounts. And the thing about MCPS never sending out anything that specifically states what actually happened is that you never know if the incident you’re familiar with is the one the ambulance was called about or something else that happened around the same time.

You two are horrible: can you accept for a second that this student was INJURED and needed urgent medical care? Who cares about your past stuffed-in-locker lives?

Exactly. I came here to post this also.

Just because it happened in this 80s, it doesn't mean it's OKAY to do that. If that's how it's going to work, how can there be sexual harassment or racial discrimination charges? I hope everybody thinks this is a serious incident and not funny at all!

I didn't say it was funny. But it's not serious.

No, I don't necessarily accept that at all. I don't know how "serious" an injury actually needs to be at a school before they call an ambulance.

Glad to hear it was just a few kids messing around that led to an accidental injury. As soon as I saw "stuffed in a locker" I knew that was not possible. Those lockers are way too narrow for anyone to fit into them. People really are just excited to make a "crime" out of every single thing some immature young people do these days. No wonder they have no idea how to stand on their own two feet when they get to college and beyond.

Kids end up getting stitches more often than you think because they horse around in the halls and someone lands on the sharp edge of an open locker door. I know personally of two or three kids this has happened to. It's usually boys horsing around in the hall. Sometimes the kids participating like it, and sometimes they don't.

Fire up the lawsuits and potential prosecutions. This should not happen in a civilized society.

My kid hides in different locker every time we go to swim practice! Never needed to be cut out...

Without knowing the details, it is actually hard to say whether it was funny of serious.

Right?
And in my high school I remember "Freshman rush" where if freshman walked down the hallway where the senior lockers were, the senior boys who were lined up opposite the lockers would body slam them into said lockers. Closed of course, but still.

Oh, and the time a bunch of seniors kidnapped two hated freshman and drove them out to the local tv station and dumped them, leaving them to walk a few miles back to school.

Wow, and people wonder why desperate kids do these school shootings. It’s usually the kids being picked on that go on those rampages. In fact, some girl from the FL shooting bragged that they used to ostracize the poor orphan kid.

Nobody in my high school shot anyone.
