Male student shoved into locker at Tilden Middle School

Unlikely. No principal wants to have these kinds of incidents on record. Reflects poorly on the school.

If they call an ambulance to a school they are required to file paperwork.

Yeah, my son had to be transported by ambulance from another MCPS MS last year. Of course there is a record of what happened, plus parental involvement and follow-up. My son had an accident, not bullying, but I can imagine these kinds of incidents can spark the rumor mill.

I taught at Tilden. I seriously doubt that a kid was shut in a locker. They are very skinny and shallow. Several times a week in winter, I had to assist when students struggled to shut coats and book bags inside.

Tilden is now ganglandia, no?

My son is friends with the kid that got pushed. He said that he and another kid were messing around with each other and rough housing, and things just got carried away. The kid was back in school the next day.

For real. Such over reaction....

Exactly. I came here to post this also.

Just because it happened in this 80s, it doesn't mean it's OKAY to do that. If that's how it's going to work, how can there be sexual harassment or racial discrimination charges? I hope everybody thinks this is a serious incident and not funny at all!

Thank you

Right?
And in my high school I remember "Freshman rush" where if freshman walked down the hallway where the senior lockers were, the senior boys who were lined up opposite the lockers would body slam them into said lockers. Closed of course, but still.

Oh, and the time a bunch of seniors kidnapped two hated freshman and drove them out to the local tv station and dumped them, leaving them to walk a few miles back to school.

Wow, and people wonder why desperate kids do these school shootings. It’s usually the kids being picked on that go on those rampages. In fact, some girl from the FL shooting bragged that they used to ostracize the poor orphan kid.

DD saw this happen today. We are so so upset and she is too. She is going to see a therapist Friday morning. We hope she can work through it, or else we may change schools. Tilden is out of control.

You're joking, right?

I find this sarcasm and disregard for crimes against young people very disturbing. What would you think of it if a man grabbed you and locked you into a locker? False imprisonment and kidnapping is only okay when it’s kids committing felonies right?

Did you miss the comment above about this being two friends goofing around and things got carried away? No one was put into a locker.
