Are Middle Easterners considered to be 'white'?

Muslim Middle Easterners are Muslim and white. They do not fall into the “brown” category because of their religion.

Jews are also subject to harassment/discrimination but are not ‘brown’ because of it. They are still considered white.

Race is not much of a factor to middle eastern people. Dark skinned people and fair skinned people constantly intermix and marry in Middle Eastern countries.

Case in point: President Sadat of Egypt, who was part of the Nubian black minority, and his second wife, who was half German I think.

Iranians are not Semitic. This term has true meaning only in a linguistic sense. Arabic, Hebrew, and Aramaic (together with some dead languages like Nabatean and Sabean) are Semitic languages that are similar linguistically.

Farsi is an Indo-Iranian language, a grouping that includes Kurdish, Romani, and Sinhalese.
