Indeed.. not for those who can't hack it, which is why they don't go to the magnets and still get a decent education at their non magnet home schools. |
No, it is a list of quality of the local cohort, it just happens to be that better off parents produce better performers at a much higher rate. |
Ill take my Tier 5 school over your racist W school any day. ( Churchill) |
DP.. yes, which is why it's a list based on wealthy. |
Amazing.. this list corresponds very closely to how white the schools are. Surely you are not saying that the whiter the school the better? ![]() |
DP. Since you brought up SES, Sherwood is more affluent than QO...and comparable to RM (actually, RM has far more low-income housing). |
Like others said, the % white graph could summarize OP's intentions a lot more succinctly than that stupid long post |
Agree, but it's not limited to Churchill. |
But the difference is I can afford either but chose to avoid kids like yours. You take what it ever the cheapest option is and like everything in life you get what you pay for. |
What you get, when you pay for housing in Churchill, is a school full of kids whose affluent parents believe that schools full of kids with affluent parents are better. |
I suspect the list also corresponds to the percentage of kids that got to college, avg SAT scores, #of AP's taken and scoring a 3 or better. |
However you need to justify your prejudices. |
In real life, I never hear people referring to the kids of low-income, little-education people as low-quality kids. But on DCUM, people do this all. the. time. Seriously, who are you all?! |
I can't believe you'd brag about avoiding "the poors". "Poors" in a county where a house still costs 400-500k, or rent is over $2500. God you are awful. Please do some self reflection. |
Blair non magnets are getting accepted to great colleges ( UMD college Park, UVA, Tulane, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Georgia)., Tech) |
