Probably 2 times a day on average - morning and night. Maybe naptime some other things. But that still left plenty of time to explore, see shows, go to museums, etc.

Because you go to Europe to travel while a student. And then visit for business. And then have some vacations there married and then with kids to see castles and museums. And food and cafes. None of that sounds like a honeymoon to me.

My view is less narrow. Why not any Caribbean place you love? Thailand. Australia. Some one off Asian country with wonderful beaches. Greek islands. Just not Old Europe for me for a honeymoon.

What you mean is that you want a beach/relaxing honeymoon. This is possible even in "Old Europe." They have beaches there.

But here's the thing. Other people are allowed to like different things. Some people like adventure vacations, some like sightseeing at cathedrals, some like a combination.

Once or twice a day. We went to Italy for 20 days. It was glorious. We explored, ate, drank. Had morning sex, afternoon post lunch drunk sex, evening sex. And managed to see a lot of things, but some lovely art and jewelry to remember it all by too.

Our honeymoon was great, and we had a moderate amount of sex (not a ton). I would have liked a little more at the time, and these days would like a moderate amount more (we're 1-2x per week, I'd like 3-4x).

I would never not honeymoon for this reason though. I look back on that trip very fondly.

I mean definitely at least once a day but the whole "we never even left the bed" myth is just that. Perhaps if you're one of those no sex before marriage couples who marry at 20 to have an excuse to bone you might do that but for the rest of us sex isn't this forbidden thing. Go out during the day and do stuff and enjoy a trip together.

I'm glad my DH is at 2x a day max now we are in our 40s. He could hang for 7-8 times in our youth but now we have lots of other things to do!
