| 49. Husband is 45. Kids are 8 and 7 (Neither adopted nor from a clinic) We don't get to see many older parents here in Fairfax. |
|
I'm 46, my husband is 50. We have kids in 3rd, 1st, K, and 3K. So, in 8 years, when my youngest starts 6th grade, I will be 54, and my husband will be 58.
You are not alone! |
No adoptions or ART here either. Just older parents. |
| 50 when my first hit middle school and 58 when the last hit middle school. We ha e lots of older parents in our MC neighborhood. |
| I was 50 with a 10 year old. |
And Bethesda too. 54 with a 5th grader and a high schooler. |
Another older parent here in Bethesda. I don’t go to “kid places” like loud, noisy places with my kids. They go with their friends and the younger parents. |
You should see many of us at Back to School Night and other school events, bus stop in the morning, etc. |
| OP, where do you live? Seriously, most of my friends and neighbors here were in their very late 30s or early 40s when their kids were born. I am often surprised when I see Momos in their late 20s - just not common around here. Most peers were getting their MBAs or on law firm partner trCk at that age. |

well I technically don't qualify at the moment because I'm 54 and my youngest is in 8th grade. But when I was 50, she was in 4th.
My good friend's adopted kid is now 16 and in 10th, but my friend is I think 64 or so. |
wow - you are me a few years ago. |
| I have an 11 yo 6 grader. DH is 60 and I am 53. I love being a parent and we have a lot of fun as a family. Keeps us young! |
| I’m 45, my wife is 50 an our son is in 3rd grade. |
| 52 with a 10 yo boy & 14 yo girl |
DS is our only child and I got pregnant naturally. My dad gets a kick out of this because his parents were the same age when they had him.... |
