OP here--I just turned 50 and have a 9 and half year old and 4 year old and DH is 56.
We are in Bethesda where older parenting is supposed to be common but I don't feel like I see that many parents my age at kid places. |

54 (single mom), with 10 year old 5th grader (adopted) |
One of my close friends is in Bethesda and is 58 with a 12 year old (and a 16 yo). So when she was your age she had a 4 yo. She says she’s definitely on the older side compared to the other parents in her younger kids class. I’m the same age and my kids have both graduated from college (and I was over 30 when both were born so not exactly a teen mom or anything!) |

We are 53 and 56 and have 7 year old twins in 1st grade.

| I have a fifth grader -- I'm 51. |

Could easily be the mom of a few of the teachers and even some of other the parents. |
| I'm 50 and have a fifth grader and 9th grader. I'm glad to be an older parent. I don't sweat the small stuff. |
| Middle school now, but we both turned 50 while youngest was still in elementary. |
