Make sure you discuss expenses and boundaries. Will DH pay for more of the groceries? Will DH pick up the college bill? Protect yourself financially. I know many stepparents who want to be nice and end up digging themselves into a hole financially for children who don't acknowledge them at the end of the day. Be respectful and civil but bear in mind, you'll never be their parent.
