Realistically, how many pounds can I really hope to loose before Christmas?

Instead of wate, try drinking tea. (Unsweetened of course.) it’s much easier to get more hydration and it helps avoid snacking because you have something that feels more substantial than just water.

Yay OP! Good job.
I'm also trying to lose weight by Christmas ... I haven't stepped on the scale, but a week in I can feel the difference in my body. My ribs are more obvious, my belly is smaller (although, still jiggly. I have great abs under there, but that mummy tummy skin just .... uggggg).
Anyway big thumbs up to you.

Thank you . Best of luck to you, too! Sounds like you are making some great progress. What a nice Christmas present we are giving to ourselves!

Keep going!

Great Job OP! This is how its starts! Just take it one day at a time, you'll be surprised by how much you've lost by Christmas! Good luck!

After I posted my update I proceeded to lose 2 more pounds within a couple of days for a total of 4 pounds lost. I guess I was holding onto water weight?

I have since lost 4 more pounds. I am now 1.2 pounds away from losing 10 pounds by Christmas. I think I will probably wind up being about .8 pounds away from my goal on Christmas Day for a total of 9.2 pounds lost. Hey, I'll take it!

Whether the scale goes up or down during the next week I am really pleased with my results and I love this Christmas gift that I've given to myself! Hard work but worth doing!
