Are you high? Neither of these names will make the list.

Wrong. Her name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana

NP. Diana appears to be the second middle name.

Ok fine but most people would refer to it as her third name.

I don't think people realize what titles and family seats mean. The York suggestion was ludicrous. They aren't the Yorks. The Yorks are the Yorks.

^^^I agree--no way they would saddle a child with the weight of that name.

Diana has been dead for 20 years now. By the time that kid is in adulthood, few people will have a strong memory of Diana. Especially given that this child will be a "minor royal" just like Beatrice and Eugenie, the Diana name will give the kid more star quality, which Meghan will surely understand.

Diana is an icon now and there is no way people will not compare her grandchildren to her--why magnify that with naming one of them after her?

Why stop there? How about Destiny Diamond!

Like Harry, I lost my mom when I was young. I gave my dd her name as a middle name, but there was no way I could have used it as a first name. That would have been way too painful. They may use it as one of her middle names, but I very much doubt we'll see it as her first. Assuming this baby is a girl, that is!

If they want to be different, they will probably look closely at Scottish names like:
Boy: Malcolm (lovely name underused), Kenneth, Duncan
Girl: Henrietta, Marjorie, Gwendolyn, Cora, Fiona, Glynnis.

If they go Christian (I doubt) they will look at Christian or Paul (boy) or Joy (girl). Luke is highly unlikely.

Diana would be a middle name, and Doria will be saved for second child in the form of Doria, Dorothy, or Dorian (boy).

I agree with Jane. Or possibly Janet to keep it contemporary.

Janet Tudor Diana

or

Glenn Dorian Dian Tudor

Oooooh! I like Glenn Dorian Dian! Not sure if they'll use Tudor though.
