Royal Baby Name Suggestion/Prediction Thread

Princess Charlotte has Diana as her second middle name

Agree with 9:24.

I don't expect a traditional royal/British name given their distance from the throne. They have more flexibility.

^^^I agree--no way they would saddle a child with the weight of that name.

Diana has been dead for 20 years now. By the time that kid is in adulthood, few people will have a strong memory of Diana. Especially given that this child will be a "minor royal" just like Beatrice and Eugenie, the Diana name will give the kid more star quality, which Meghan will surely understand.

or

Arthur York Henry Kensington Windsor

They are not going to use York, Kensington or Windsor as their kid's middle names.

Those are specific titles that serve a specific purpose.

Meghan and Harry are not going to do the American trend of last surnames as first or middle names, and especially not those titles. They will name their kids Samantha or Thomas before naming them York, Kensington or Windsor, and that is not happening either.

I agree with the poster who said they might very well choose more contemporary names like the Phillips or Tyndalls did since Harry and Meghan's offspring are so far down the line of succession and won't ever become queen or king.

There is no reason to do super traditional, formal names.

So no Charles, no Elizabeth, and no Camilla.

They've dome that in the past. Elizabeth's uncle was named after his grandfather who was still alive. Plus Elizabeth was named after her mother, grandmother and great grandmother, two of whom were alive when she was born.

I actually think it’s likely that Meghan and Harry’s children will remain in the spotlight much more so than previous generations of cousins. Theyir family will probably remain much more popular than William and Kate’s.

Boy: Philip, John, Arthur.
Girl: Mary, Margaret, Elizabeth. Distant possibilities are Jane and Rose.

If they want to be different, they will probably look closely at Scottish names like:
Boy: Malcolm (lovely name underused), Kenneth, Duncan
Girl: Henrietta, Marjorie, Gwendolyn, Cora, Fiona, Glynnis.

If they go Christian (I doubt) they will look at Christian or Paul (boy) or Joy (girl). Luke is highly unlikely.

Diana would be a middle name, and Doria will be saved for second child in the form of Doria, Dorothy, or Dorian (boy).

I think it will be Destiny or Diamond for a girl.

Elijah or Zion for a boy

Probably not.

In the end, unless a tragedy happens like with Diana, or unless one of them is a fiesty as Savannah they will have a similar fate to the other 2 princesses in terms of attention and popularity.

They'll get attention because the family will be smaller and they will be mixed. As children, everyone likes to look at mixed kids.

I just don’t get the obsession with Meghan’s racial makeup. When I see her, I don’t think”oh, she’s biracial”. I just see her. Hopefully people will see their child as just, shock, a child.
