Ben Jealous & MoCo Schools ???

We should be calling and emailing the board every week about what we want to see in the new curriculum. Gather your PTA troops.

Exactly.

Hogan didn't choose and implement crappy Curriculum 2.0 with error ridden worksheets and inadequate teacher training. That was MCPS and Erik Lang all the way.

MCPS is responsible for using funds for Chromebooks and Promethean boards all throughout the system instead of using the money for additional staff. MCPS is responsible for the horrendous number of sexual abuse cases over the past 5 years.

And, I place some blame on the County Council for supporting the over-development of Montgomery County, without planning for the increase in school facilities.

That is what the state needs, some 2nd run politician from PG. Doesn’t really matter what he stands for as he is as likely to get elected as the fat kid was for home coming king.

Aaaand Ike changes his mind and admits he's a personal friend of Hogan but endorses Ben Jealous
Typical politics and nepatism on his stalling

“The Amazon deal was poorly negotiated, tuition-free college is the right thing to do and schools everywhere should be fully funded, including in Montgomery County, not at its expense. Those always were and still are our positions.”

He buckled to political pressure to stick to party lines. Sad.

The money used for Chromebooks and Promethean boards couldn't be used for staff.

I’m from MoCo and I think they should yank funds from MoCo for this stupidity! They are more corrupt than Baltimore - fix it please.

I don’t know that MCPS is more corrupt than Baltimore, but it is a pretty corrupt system in its own right.

That's quite a tepid endorsement, particularly when he won't actively campaign against Hogan.

That means it's silly to say that it should have been used for staff.
