I am not an AP or have been with one but I can imagine the excitement/thrill of it trumps caring if someone notices.,

Business travel. Wealthy people have apartments or condos in the city, closer to work.

I dated a wealthy private school guy in high school. He and his older brother had an apartment near their private school, while the family lived out in the country. I think dad stayed at the apartment once in a while on the weekends.
