How did Queen Elizabeth's dad die then? |
| Inbreeding? |
|
Lung cancer from heavy smoking, I believe. |
I mean if they have such good health care.... |
| Princess Margaret died before the Queen Mother. |
No he did not. Did you just invent that? He had lung surgery. But he did not have a transplant. Anti dementia meds? You guys are crazy. |
Yes but that will disprove the theory in this thread. We don't want the truth. |
|
No stress? I think being a royal would be more stressful than normal life. You can never relax, always have to be proper. Always camera ready. Give birth and pose for photos two hour selfies later while bleeding vaginally.

They removed part of his lung as a treatment for lung cancer in 1951. That's still pretty remarkable. http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/september/23/newsid_3083000/3083301.stm |
OMG no. It's a FAR cry from a lung trapslant. The surgery he had is very routine, even back then. It wasn't meant to cure this. It was a palliative measure. The only remarkable part is they did it at the palace. |
| Horseback riding. I'm totally serious. |
If you trip, it's in the front page news. Close a car door=news. Even Kate went on vacation, took her top off and was photographed naked. Can't even relax on vacation. |
| The majority of DCUMers believe, irrationally, that doing things like not eating bacon affect your lifespan. It is a very common misconception. Like when people read Gene Weingarten’s article about children dying in hot cars are get super defensive. |

It's funny that people don't know this.
The queen is fairly obsessive about nutrition. She drinks (GASP!) raw milk, and only ever eats organic produce, most of which is grown on her estates. I think she even has her own herd of cows. She made sure that Will and Harry got her raw milk delivered to them even when they were students. She also generally doesn't eat empty calories like potatoes/starch. But I think the raw milk and truly organic produce are the biggest differences. |
