What grade does recess end?

At our K-12, there's dedicated recess through 8th grade. I don't know how lunch works in high school, but I'm sure there's enough time for kids to move and/or get a break.

Sports at the end of the day is no substitute for recess.

Sadly at the end of 5th. Kids should have It through 8th though.

Info posted about SR is incorrect. SR does have a morning break in the middle school every day. Students are outdoors and girls can play four square and other games on the lawn, have a snack, and hang out with friends. This is for all students in grades 5-8.

+1. And it’s a long day from 8 am to 330. At least, The 6th through 8th graders at least get sports Monday through Thursday at end of day but they want the younger ones to have extra study hall or advisory.

This is incorrect - students have a break every morning and can play games outdoors.

Lowell has two recess periods in middle school.

How long is the recess for your middle schoolers? I don’t think it’s a big deal that they have it...but how many minutes is it?

Sheridan has actual outdoor recess through 8th. Not study hall. There’s also PE in addition

Our K-8th has recess for all grades. They just went back to a 1/2 day on Fridays in-person, after previously doing a virtual Friday, and they added in a recess/extra PE slot for all grades during this 1/2 day. The kids love it.
