I was earning 250k by 29. 130 @ 27 isn't that high around here. Especially in your field.

It's not a competition, people. Earning $130K at 27 puts OP welllll into the upper percentiles not just in his age group, but in general. The fact that you, or your husband, or your best friend, makes more than that does not negate this fact.

I make 190k plus benefits. Not much but that is for 20 hours work a week. Some weekend deployments but mostly just kissing up. I was making 110k at your age but it was like working 3 Freddie jobs

save your money so you can retire early or call your shots once you have kids. both of us did and are very happy - with our savings, with our current "downshifted income" and our time with our kids. as well as travel, our house, etc.

Hard to say what 130K is worth nowdays.

My older brother in 1987 when single in his 20s was making 55K a year he seemed to have a ton of money. My brother today makes around 550K butnot much has changed lifestyle wise

I have staff working for me making 130K and they seem very poor.

Also some professions like sales, engineering and pharmacy pay a lot to start but it is hard to keep the raises coming.
