I am 27 years old and make 130k

There’s an industry for space?

FYI, the new Cravath pay scale is 200k I know

OP, I guess you should've gone to a top law or business school. That was the going entry rate in the mid-1990s. Where do you live, Nebraska?

People that brag about finances are tacky and I’ll just say you never been around wealth

130k per year? Practically a millionaire

That’s great OP, congrats. 41 year old making $146k... wish I had put more emphasis on making money earlier. It has been a slow climb up this mountain due to my career choices (nonprofits, I work in communications).

Screw rich people

Eh, my husband is 32 and makes $300K, including a very valuable stock and bonus package.

OP is talking about himself. You are talking about your husband. That tells me a lot about you.

... a lot of people are talking about others. How am I different?

I’m 28 and last year I made 275k. Female in banking. I’m not going to last long because of the lifestyle but saving as much as I can. Our base jumps 25k for three consecutive years post-analyst and bonus is 50-100% on top. It’s very voliatile dependent on the year, but the market’s been hot during my career (not going to last long).

Feeling pretty baller. Anyone else?

I mean, yeah I feel pretty baller. But I wouldn't if I made your salary.

DC just graduated and should make 120k with bonus. But DC isn’t in the space force.

Good for you, OP. I hope that you are maxing out your retirement contributions. And make sure that you have 6+ months savings set aside (3 months should be cash ready and then the rest needs to be accessible within 3 months). Any excess savings beyond your 6+ months amount should be going into investments (stocks, bonds, real estate, etc). Keep up the good work!

This and congrats. Seriously, I am 47- read the pp's advice carefully. Don't spend it- save it. You will be amazed at what you have saved by 40 if you're frugal.
