As for him following people, a lot of people will follow you if you follow them. I don't do it, but lots of people do. That's why I get random followers (I'm a dude who posts no photos and mostly rants about boring stuff) -- they want a follow back to increase their follower count and then sell promoted posts.

DH once showed me the Instagram account of a Dad at our school. Kids are friends. Swarming with following hot models. We assumed he didn’t realize it was public and had a good laugh. So it was a double judge. He’s an idiot for not locking his account down and an idiot for following these chicks.

I didn’t state there’s anything wrong with following hot women on IG, no matter your gender.

Because our kids are friends. They visit each other’s houses. I don’t know you very well, so I’ll start with your public social media. Normal. I’ve haven’t said a word to anyone. I’m not a gossip. I think people should have an anonymous Instagram account for anything that would reflect badly on their kids or spouse wrt to extended family etc who go there looking for family pics.

Use a DCFitGuy username on IG to follow all your fitness models and what have you.
