APS - $185 million for 800 seats?

Anonymous
The CC site was the compromise site after Glen Carlyn refused a new HS. Arlington Heights jumped in and insisted they wanted it, when not everyone there wants it. It's not a great location, but there are few good ones in the county.

However, I think a really good school could be built there, if people are willing to accept that several things will be done differently. Based on the chatter on the boards in S Arl, we haven't gotten to that part yet. We're still demanding something that looks like all the other schools...

Don't introduce facts, we abhor facts.

Great. Since when DCPS the role model for APS?

seriously, a really cool amusement park ride is a much better comparison for an Arlington County school than a DC school is.

Alternatively, its only 185 bus stops

Well, Discovery does have that slide. Btw, it gets me that people always bring up the slide when the playgrounds are the real showstoppers. The slide is nothing.

Omg. Playgrounds all the way down at that place. Amazing.

All schools are good schools, but some are better than others. Always ask the people who tell you "all schools are good" and that your kid "will be fine" where their children go to school. Watch them sputter.

My kids have been at 2 APS elementary schools, one crazy overcrowded in an old facility, and one brand new beautiful facility without crowding. They ARE both great schools, and my kids will be fine. No sputtering necessary.

You didn't name the schools.
