But he's very handsome, and by far the most honest, trustworthy, steady, loving, communicative one I ever dated. He also happens to be a fantastic musician - which is how we met and something we share that I never shared with anyone else.

In mid 50’s and dating another mid 50’s woman. She is beautiful now yet when we look at her pictures from when she was in college I realize she would have been out of my league and would have never gone out with me. She is much much better looking than my ex DW.

So for guys the trick is to find a new partner when you are older and you get to step up to a different league altogether

Definitely NOT! My DH is not attractive by any traditional metric. He’s actually kinda funny looking.

But...nearly 20 years on he’s still my favorite person to be around. He’s smart, kind, confident, funny, attentive, honest, etc.

When I got married my DW wasn't the hottest or most attractive of the women I had dated. She looked very young and dressed conservatively and sex was pretty new to her. Jump forward 20+ years and she's a young, pretty hot looking 45 YO with 20 years of great sex under her belt. My old GF's look old and who knows how good they are today in bed.
