Lol. Pretty much all prominent politicians in both parties are looking out for their donors and the ruling class. The sad part is you don’t understand this. You’re just as naive as the people you’re trying to describe.

DP.. no, the sad part is that it was the liberals who tried to limit campaign donations by big donors, but the Rs blocked it, and yet you Trumpsters still think it's the Rs who will drain the swamp.

I’m not a Trumpster. Why make random unfounded assumptions? It doesn’t make you look any smarter.

Do yourself a favor and look up who did well financially during Obama’s eight years. Wages remained stagnant, while the uber rich got even richer. Millions of Americans lost their homes. Meanwhile Wall Street billionaires were bailed out with taxpayer money after they destroyed the economy and not a single bankster went to jail. And who do you think made money off of the ACA and Obama’s refusal to pursue a public option or Medicare for All (despite having a supermajority)?

Get it together, PP. You’re just as easily fooled as the Trump supporters you look down upon.

don't be daft... rich people have been getting richer regardless of who is in power. Money begets money. But policies can distribute that money more, and Rs policies don't spread the wealth at all.

At the minimum, Obama tried to cover as many folks as possible. What did Rs do for those who couldn't get insurance? Zero. Instead now they want to take away the subsidies from those who can't afford it.

You may not be a Trumpster (though sure sounds like you are), but you are blind. Neither party is great, but at the minimum Obama tried to do something for the lower/middle class to get health insurance. What are the Rs trying to do? They can't even get all of their own party members to kill ACA.

The #1 issue voters care about right now is the cost of healthcare and the possibility of losing their coverage.

Upon his election, Obama had huge momentum as well as a supermajority. He used those advantages to push aside a public option and instead pass the Heritage Foundation’s/Romney’s health care plan. Now he’s kite surfing off of Richard Branson’s private island and kicking back on Steve Allen’s megayacht. What a hero.

Trump voters are Republican chumps, whereas you’re a Democrat chump. But you’re a chump nonetheless, PP. That much is clear.

As I stated, neither side is that great, but at the least, I can acknowledge that Obama tried to help the lower/middle, whereas Rs are all about themselves at this point.

You probably didn't even bother to read that linked article because you think you are smart and have common sense so who needs to read, while the rest of us are chumps so we do like to read and be informed.

I don't care that Obama is vacationing. He deserves it after 8 years of serving his country. Same for Bush and Clinton. Trump, OTH, can languish in FL AFTER he finishes serving his term, rather than the many many times he's been there during just the first 18 mo. in office.

Do white conservatives want them at their school?

Just asking.

--white liberal elite who sends her kids to a title 1 school where he is a minority

First you are a liberal and then you send your kids to a Title 1 school. What else are you going to do to ruin their lives?

i am so conservative that my brown children attend a Title 1 school with no white kids. Oh where oh where are all those white kids of which you speak?

As a very white liberal northern european, , I find the palo alto attitudes to be very closed on any practical basis. Much theoretical virtue signaling -- in fact this is a series of daily affirmations.

The whole place is a bit of a zoo.

How about being a part of the new humanity. What a load of crap--the new aristocracy. Ok Marie Antoinette.

Clearly spoken by someone who has never seen the kids in Palo Alto - quite a multicultural bunch out there.

+1. It’s the poor who are kept at a distance - not minorities.

Because most people, especially people on this site haven't the faintest clue that this is not a racial issue, but an economic issue.

I live in a very expensive community inside the beltway. There a no shortage of "brown" people in my kids school. Im brown myself. Many more broe people than the national average. What we all have in common? Income. High income.

There aren't very many black people on the peninsula, period. I used to live there.

This is completely disingenuous. Dems adopted many conservative policy ideas, promoted by conservative policy entrepreneurs for years, in order to get Republican buy in and support. But, not wanting to give Obama a win, they turned their noses up at their own policy ideas. How could Dems possibly get any Republican support for single payer if they rejected their own conservative policy ideas!

Nice try at revisionist history but not everyone forgets.
