Don't be ridiculous, Silicon Valley is overrun by Indians. And Russians! |
I live in a zipcode that skews more Republican, right next to a wealthier zipcode that skews more Democratic. My zipcode's schools are more diverse than the schools in the wealthier zipcode. Someone with a little time probably already has looked at zipcode voting trends and how diverse the schools are. You might find https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2014/05/15/the-most-segregated-schools-may-not-be-in-the-states-youd-expect-2/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.0d496dce2bfe an educational read. |
For the Palo Alto elite, Indians are honorary whites, as the Japanese were treated by the Germans. You are naive, purposefully. |
? lol... no. Many folks in the Silicon Valley just don't care about what country you are from. It's not that they see Indians as "honorary whites". How ridiculous. -signed an Asian American who used to live around the Palo Alto area |
Yes, segregation is a problem for sure all over the US. But if you think that white conservatives are welcoming black and brown residents into their neighborhoods you are delusional. I grew up in the midwest in a conservative town that was 99% white. Over the past few decades it is slowly becoming more diverse and as black and brown people move in, the whites are leaving. I hear the grumbling about it among my white former classmates. These are not liberals complaining about the changing demographics. They all voted for Trump. Whites in general tend to start leaving places when the non-white population gets to be a certain percentage. It doesn't matter if they're conservative or liberals and it's an indictment of white culture. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0049089X17305422 |

| No, the new aristocracy lives in rich neighborhood with great public schools and send their kids to private. |
Wondering too. - Brown Liberal Elite who lives in expensive DC neighborhood |
| The Trump Presidency is the .01% and the 90% joining forces to take as much as possible away from the 9.9% "new aristocracy" aka the liberal elites/professional class. The sad part is that the .01% intends to keep all of it for themselves but the 90% doesn't understand and thinks it will all come to them. |
Lol. Pretty much all prominent politicians in both parties are looking out for their donors and the ruling class. The sad part is you don’t understand this. You’re just as naive as the people you’re trying to describe. |
Clearly spoken by someone who has never seen the kids in Palo Alto - quite a multicultural bunch out there. |
+1. It’s the poor who are kept at a distance - not minorities. |
Anybody is free to move into my neighborhood and attend our excellent public school system.....but you’re going to pay at least $45k a year in property taxes for that privilege. |
DP.. no, the sad part is that it was the liberals who tried to limit campaign donations by big donors, but the Rs blocked it, and yet you Trumpsters still think it's the Rs who will drain the swamp. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizens_United_v._FEC |
I’m not a Trumpster. Why make random unfounded assumptions? It doesn’t make you look any smarter. Do yourself a favor and look up who did well financially during Obama’s eight years. Wages remained stagnant, while the uber rich got even richer. Millions of Americans lost their homes. Meanwhile Wall Street billionaires were bailed out with taxpayer money after they destroyed the economy and not a single bankster went to jail. And who do you think made money off of the ACA and Obama’s refusal to pursue a public option or Medicare for All (despite having a supermajority)? Get it together, PP. You’re just as easily fooled as the Trump supporters you look down upon. |
