Seniors taking all AP classes...

My daughter’s school grades aren’t connected to the actual AP test so she still has classes, homework, finishing a research paper, and a final exam to do.

For the juniors, the teachers give assignments that pad their grade.

The long stretch of time from the APs to school letting out is why if asked, I would vote for shifting the school year earlier.

I am the psychology teacher from 21:04. My students took their exam on Monday. School does not let out until June 21st! My seniors are totally done for the most part, especially since many of them are taking 3-4 exams. My goal is to have them be done with all of the presentations by June 1st, so after that they can just enjoy the prom, beach week, and graduation festivities, while doing a few very minor and fun assignments.

Well, it is May 10 and there is no evidence my kid is going to do anything more this year. Too much wasted time now, and too much intensity during the other three marking periods.
This!!
20 hours of IB exams and most of the fourth quarter grade work assigned during third quarter. So, all that work was frantically produced instead of exam prep. Now, the prom’s over , the exams are winding up and I get daily emails about my kid missing classes on exam days.

I remember watching movies related to the subject and one teacher had alumni come back once colleges were out to give us advice about college (time management, studying, etc). I really liked those talks, since everyone was pumped for college, but also a bit intimidated.

Do senior scores come back earlier?

No. I'm pretty sure they come back in July.

WTF don't you care? I'm guessing you're kid isn't in this situation, right?

Yes he is .. and got almost all 5's. So let them relax do something fun. My son plays an instrument and with the extra 4 hours a night, is learning another off the internet.

Scores don't come out until July so your kid cannot be a senior that got all 5s this year. You must be really insecure.....

No genius, he got them junior and sophomore year. He is already admitted to a college, it's been a long 4 years give your f'ing kid a break.

Dear Teacher on this thread, Maybe you can teach these kids meditation and mindfulness since their parents are lunatics.

So your kid scored big on the APs early on, has been done with school for a good long while now and has been basically at home playing his flute and learning the tuba.....??

+1 Ha, ha. And she clearly cannot read the thread subject Seniors taking all AP classes. But she got in her pathetic brag about her son learning an instrument on the internet. Just be glad you don't live in that house!
