WTF don't you care? I'm guessing you're kid isn't in this situation, right?

Yes he is .. and got almost all 5's. So let them relax do something fun. My son plays an instrument and with the extra 4 hours a night, is learning another off the internet.

"Well, it is May 10 and there is no evidence my kid is going to do anything more this year. Too much wasted time now, and too much intensity during the other three marking periods."

Well maybe. Does anyone know why (or in which states) it makes sense to have APs in the middle of May? Why couldn't they be the last week of May and the first week of June?

Scores don't come out until July so your kid cannot be a senior that got all 5s this year. You must be really insecure.....

One major issue is that the classes aren't solely seniors, but a mix of juniors and seniors.

This is the second year in a row for us with 4 APs and a shut-down of the work effort far too early in the year.

Should you cancel a score if your child scores a 4?
My daughter is a freshman in HS and taking her first AP. If she doesn't get a 5 should we have the score cancelled?

Most schools give the same credit for a 4 or 5. You do not have to submit the scores when you are applying..only after you get in.

No genius, he got them junior and sophomore year. He is already admitted to a college, it's been a long 4 years give your f'ing kid a break.

Dear Teacher on this thread, Maybe you can teach these kids meditation and mindfulness since their parents are lunatics.

There are schools all over the country on an August to May calendar. That schedule would never fly here. You can't really blame College Board for administering the exams when everyone is still in school.

No, but I can blame us for refusing to shift. The battle is lost.

No. If your kid isn't a perfect student, so be it.

Dear Teacher on this thread: Maybe you can teach this poster the difference between past and present tense verbs so she won't have to get so indignant when she's misunderstood.

I am the teacher from yesterday. I actually am going to do a mindfulness and meditation unit with the students once they have a few classes to work on their projects.

So your kid scored big on the APs early on, has been done with school for a good long while now and has been basically at home playing his flute and learning the tuba.....??
