dating or marrying to high income people

And up to 1.2 with bonus. Where is this? It has to be somewhere like New York with the finance industry, highly unlikely it's DC. Why I bring this up is because that woman is living in an extremely different environment than the pharmacist making 120k. Her expectations are different. She may be feeling the biological clock ticking but she's also surrounded by high performing men and high performing women tend to go for high performing men. She should be snapped up by someone of similar professional background. If she's good looking with a huge income, there's something wrong with her if she's not already claimed by another man. If she's ugly, then are you with her for her money?

OP is a troll

Yep. He should have used a 400k doctor (quite plausible) for his fictional woman.

I met a 33 years old single female while she was waiting to pick up prescription for her mother and we've been seeing each other for the past six months and things are going great both physically and mentally. Now she wants us to get married within the next few months because I am "the one" for her. Her income is 800k/year, 1.2M if including bonus. She doesn't care or mind if I make much less than she does.

How does a spouse feel if your SO makes a lot of more than you, especially the husband? How does it change the dynamic of the relationship in the long run?

Beware, she probably voted for Trump.

Would you be OK with that?

I make more money than my husband and it's irrelevant. We have a pretty good division of labor. I do all the cooking and grocery shopping. I take care of the kids logistics and their academics. He does laundry dishes, manages finances, and home repairs. We of course switch off and one has to carry more weight when the other is super busy at work. All the money goes to one place at the end of the day.

Wut? There are Real Estate agents that clear that every year. Partners in law firms make a million their first year and it grows from there. My ex was a SV at a lobbying firm and she made 550k. This was 10 years ago and she was relatively junior on the org chart. Tons of people are making 100k a month in DC.

I am male. I would love to have a spouse than earned anywhere close to me, or better still, more than me.

I made 175K last year, she made 5K. Quality of life would be much better if she made 175K also, or better still, 300K.

More money always improves life. It is not the only thing, but nice vacations beat week long vacations with in-laws.
