Barcelo has a great beach, but I won't stay there again because they added a small dolphin prison It's so cruel for these brilliant animals to be stuck in a tiny cement pool, bored out of their minds!

A friend of mine went there and recommended it. However, I would not go at spring break. Check out feedback on Trip Advisor.

Grand Palladium is a good resort on a nice beach, and they don't have 5 or 6 dolphins trapped in a small pool. Their dinners don't require reservations which is a plus too. We really like Grand Palladium resorts.

We loved the Barcelo Maya Palace - there are several Barcelos right on the same property, awesome facilities for kids, good food (all inclusive). Highly recommend it.

Hi, I am considering Riviera Maya Resort as my first experience for a nice vacation. Other than the cost of the hotel and shuttle service to and from the airport, what are other expenses I should consider?

Stayed at Hard Rock last year.
The sales pitch to sell you a unit is something to avoid but once you make that clear, it’s wonderful.

I never expected to like it as much as I did. And I had a broken foot the entire time so it wasn’t ideal!
