They say no later than 4/30. And it gives them padding if something goes wrong. DS is class of 2020, and the SIS was rescheduled due to weather. Plus FCPS was closed for the 3feet of snow. They still got results out in early April, but if the second administration had also been snowed out, they would have needed the padding. Then there was the year computers malfunctioned, and they had to convert the SIS to take home. Etc. so they build in extra time.

Today computers malfunctioned again. The kids were half way through the essays and were unable to finish. Spent a couple of hours waiting for the problem to be resolved, without any luck. Now they need to come up with a new set of questions and re-test the kids.

A total debacle!!! My son was almost finished and everything erased! Pretty shameful for a TECH school..I mean really?

The retake had better be on a weekend...

That's what I thought as well! They spent 2 hours trying to resolve the issue and couldn't fix it - so shameful! The kids were sitting there doing nothing for 2 hours.

^^^I just can’t believe these poor kids have to go back on yet another day and redo the whole thing.

It will be interesting to see what the school says about it-I’m guessing it’s going to delay the whole process for everyone potentially...just terrible...

^^^It was today and that’s correct-only kids from today affected-probably about 200.

My child said about 120 kids - about 20 with special accommodations and 100 who tested in another large room.

DC's estimation was 20 kids in one room and 60 in another big room.

Not that I’ve heard. My kid was in the accommodations pool.

This dragging things out is getting ridiculous. At this point, they need to let kids do an at home SIS.

I’d guess not. They can start with the kids they have. 2 years ago, the SIS was pushed two weeks for everyone because of Snowmageddon and they released the first week of April.

Computer problems when my oldest took it as well. It really is ridiculous. Can't understand how a technology school can't seem to make this process work.
