OP here. I figured, but I’m moreso just wondering - did he ask to borrow her phone? To call me? I realize I’m over analyzing but my first instinct was to be concerned.

A mentally ill homeless man fixated on my colleague and harassed her by phone. He often called from his psychiatrist's office. Based on that experience (I'll spare you the details), I think you should be concerned.
