Go. Get your stuff and kid and go to your mother's. Get the court to make him pay child support. DC has a family court self help section with helpful advisors. Be glad you aren't married. He won't change. Took me 12 years to divorce a guy like that -- it doesn't start out like that. Go, go, go.

Personal trainer and bartender are fine jobs. If you hustle you can make a good living at both careers. However, this guy sounds like a lazy POS.

I agree OP DTMFA. There doesn’t seem to be any incentive to stay with this guy. I’m sorry, but you and your child deserve better than this situation.

To answer at least couple of questions. I'm foreign, I came to the US 10 years ago.
We are not married.
He didn't want a child until I got pregnant, I was sick the whole term, he was helping morally, was sweet and supportive, cooking for me in the middle of the night.
He didn't want to move in, stating that " it never turns out well" I insisted, since we were having a baby.
He is a personal trainer/ bartender. I know, that's not a real job.

You need to help yourself. It's a tough answer, but the only answer. He has shown you his character, even before you lived together with a baby. Expect nothing more than child support, because that's all this POS is going to give, and likely only when court mandated.

Move on with your life. You still have so many opportunities to make a wonderful life with your child.
