This.

Not this. I want my tax dollars going to us citizens. Not illegal aliens. How much do we spend on illegals? My guess is tens of billions. That’s a lot of assistance us citizens aren’t getting. I’m all for helping illegals as soon as no us citizen children go to bed hungry. And as soon as public schools start kicking out illegal aliens.

It's more than $100B a year. The bleeding hearts will tell you.....but property tax!.....but sales tax!......but the fact remains that illegals are a net drain on our economy.

Except many use family members’ social security numbers to pay payroll tax but never file income tax so your hate is misplaced.

You have to be a member of the Russian troll farm trying to sow discontent in America.

1.) Illegal immigration is at record lows right now.
2.) you lack any understanding of economics

This doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as the upper middle class basically paying for the 1% of American citizens' tax cuts.

This can also be seen as corporations making profits off the back of the taxpayer. Walmart pays absolute shit for wages and gives lousy to no benefits, forcing all their workers onto food stamps, Medicaid, and Section 8 in order to survive, then crows about job creation and tax cuts and their vital role in the economy. Blood-sucking hypocrites.

Get back to me about immigrants and illegals when we stop having overwhelmingly white counties in middle America have 1/3 of their population sitting around at home sucking the public teat for disability benefits while stoned on opiates and guzzling Mountain Dew. If that ongoing Post series was supposed to inspire sympathy, it isn't working for me.

Now is The time democrats

No to e-verify. Yes to chain migration

We need to increase the supply of workers to decrease the hourly wages.

As a Republican, I would have no problem with immigration if all were productive and self sufficient or headed that way. I read it takes five years for a family to become established in this country to go without support. For those decrying reduced lunch and CHIP as part of the cost equation, what isn’t part of the cost equation is the cost of education itself, especially for anchor babies and benefits for anchor babies because they are citizens, not immigrants. However on a closely related issue, I’m also dismayed about able bodied white abuse of disability or any abuse of public funds intended for those in need. And the pp who riffed on corporations profiting from low wages is on the mark. The other thing that gets me upset is corporations using part time employees to get around paying benefits. We can do better all the way around. I wish we could dialog without name calling so that we could find common ground.

Over populated my child's elementary school and half her class is taught in Spanish. Learn to f g speak English for starters and it is not the United States job to feed these children. You come here at least be able to provide for your children.

I think it's great to be bilingual and many Americans speak Spanish. I purposely had our nanny speak to my children exclusively in Spanish so they would become fluent.

Well how lovely for you. My children are in America in an American school and are entitled to an English education, that is unless you want to pay private school tuition for us.

Fuck off you racist fuck. You'll be extinct soon anyway.

You need to spend way more time overseas if you think the US is a racist society.

You might be shocked by what you see elsewhere.

Agree. I'm not the poster who made the comment about an English education, but what's racist about that? This IS America, and having half the class not speak the language DOES slow down the pace and caliber of the education. There is a definite correlation between high ESOL schools and low ratings.

Like schools where the parents don't complain that their kids speak multiple languages?

Silicon valley money has screwed the democrats. They have abandoned commons sense to increase illegal immigrants

Meanwhile crickets from the left when the flood gates on immigration were opened between 2013 and 2016. All of these illegals were given a credit card for living and free education for the children who couldn't speak a lick of English. Want to know who paid for this entitlement?

Wrong party. Lots of Republicans love illegal immigration and temporary worker visas. That’s why we won’t see immigration reform. Too many rich white guys making bank off the current system.

Used to be that way but not since Clinton and pelosi. Democrats are against e-verify. The single most effectIve tool to improve the lives of low wage workers

That is an excellent point my friend.

Just out of curiosity you ever consider that's the reason many immigrants come here in the first place...so they can take care of their children.

Pick a country, any country in Central America (Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama).

Do you know what those countries all have in common aside from being crippled with widespread underemployment and poverty and ravaged by ridiculous amounts of violence?

All those countries are also plagued with disgustingly high rates of child labor and sickening high rates of child prostitution.

Self-preservation is a basic biological trait that is universal among all living organisms and survival is an innate instinct.

With a twister is headed straight for the farm you wouldn't expect Dorothy to dutifully wash the dishes and sweep the floor and finish counting chicks like Auntie Em told her to before getting to safety would you?

Well...with their children's welfare, safety, and very lives at risk Every Single Day do you seriously expect a mother in Nicaragua to dutifully learn fluent English before beginning her arduous and dangerous journey here?

I do. If it’s that important that she can provide for her children she should learn the language.

Lol - well let’s hope you remain totally unfamiliar with perilous predicaments, treacherous conditions, and life-threatening situations my friend because your stubborn preoccupation with nonessential priorities will most certainly be your downfall.

But I doubt you’re that stupid. I understand you have to argue with me just to save face (odd seeing how this is an anonymous forum) but surely if your children were starving and at risk of being kidnapped and forced into child labor or child prostitution and possibly facing death in the crossfire of competing criminal factions you’d be wise enough to get the hell out now and learn English later too.

This is exactly the reason we need a big wall. And families caught at the border should be separated to differing facilities. Deterrence is paramount in stemming the flow of illegals coming here only to claim tax dollars that should go to American citizens. If the bleeding hearts feel so bad for the unfortunates of other countries, and there are plenty more in Africa and Asia, then they can send their money to charities that feed and support people in their own countries. It is not racist to have borders and legal immigration.
