If the op actually watched Stewart for years the amount of prep he put into researching/writing the show, the amount he read and news watched on the Iraq war for example, it's realistic that he never saw this one web article. With entertainers, Stewart would do next to little prep and often just ask them about their upcoming projects.

You are not connecting the correct dots. There is nothing Stewart is "guilty" of on this tape. He either did not know or did not believe rumors. if it emerges that Stewart indulged this behavior from ck on his set or witnessed this behavior then, I'd be right there with you.

It's about holding the people accountable who worked where CK did these things. Courtney Cox and David Arquette for example. Sexual assault happened on their set and they handed it internally rather than calling the cops. Why do you think tig didn't name names? She was protecting herself from being sued. She didn't call the cops. So quite literally, these people in power were the biggest enablers.

He is guilty of dismissing the allegations, hiring and promoting a serial sexual abuser long after the crimes had been brought to light, and mocking the person who brought it up. Which is why people are angry and upset.
