You shouldn't feel bad about leaving at all. However people may feel awkward. Usually when people leave that quickly it means they didn't like the job or weren't happy. We had a guy leave my office who was there for less than a year. He gave the managers two weeks notice, but they didn't notify the staff until two days before he left. I think it was probably best. Also some managers do take it personally. My own manager told us he takes it personal when someone leaves.

I also agree with employers letting staff go ahead of time. If you are leaving anyway and all of your projects are wrapped up, there is no reason to hang around and collect an additional paycheck.
