We bathe DS every day - he prefers showers to baths so he usually takes a shower with me or DH. We use Aveeno and he has no issues with dry skin - I literally almost never put lotion on him. |
PP here - forgot to mention that DS is 2. |
3 yo and 1.5 yo every night without fail unless we happen to be out late at a friends on a weekend evening. |
Every night, hair included, and I use soap too.
Now in the summer it is actually twice a day, once after lunch and before naptime, and once after dinner before bedtime. She is 15mo. She sweats a lot in the morning and gets really dirty, I think it is gross she naps so dirty. She loves bathtime. |
every night for 3 yr old DS. we use just a few quirts of tearless soap in the water to clean his body, and shampoo for his hair. no concerns about dry skin. this is part of his nightly routine. the bath can usually be completed in 15 minutes. |
DD is 18 months and we bathe her twice a week, more often if she's sweaty/dirty. |
once a week for the 3 and 5 year old, the baby gets a washcloth bath every day and a bath every few |
Wow, I'd give myself bad mommy medal of the week, except I'm following our pediatrician's orders. Our one month old gets a bath roughly twice a week unless there's a spitup or big diaper incident! He gets a soapless wipedown of the sweaty areas and diaper region every day. He's been very healthy that way...and not stinky at all. Of course, we are not going out often or in contact with dirt / germs, so that plays a role. Still, I hope I'm not raising pig pen! ha ha.

Same here. |
Not a bad mommy at all. One-month-olds are very different from two-year-olds! I have to say that one of the saddest moments in my short motherhood was when I realized that my kid stinks. She used to smell so sweet, no matter what. Now she gets bad breath, and has stinky poo, and her shoes/feet smell. ![]() |
My two year old get a bath every night but my 4 month old only gets one twice at week at most. He never spits up so his neck is clean, and he only poops every few days so he is not sitting in a poopy butt. |
A one month old is not a "kid." I think you are fine. 6 year old and 2 year old -- just about every night. 2 year old gets his hair shampooed if he's perfumey (asthma) otherwise no soap. (Older DC's hair is very fine so he rarely needs shampoo. He usually showers.) |
8 and 4. Probably 2 nights a week. |
GROSS i am sorry but this is SO disgusting, esp. in the summer. |
