Be honest - how often do you bathe your kids?

As on poster who said something like "who knew what goes on behind closed doors" proves, people will likely not be able to know that you bathe them 2x's per week vs. 7 x's per week.

The level of outrage over the difference in bathing is a little ridiculous. Take a deep breath.

Yes, and for that matter, please stop posting your opinions and habits here, because no one wants to read them. Seriously, NO ONE wants to know what goes on behind your closed doors. Hm, wait, actually, everyone enjoys reading about each other's lives and habits and opinions. Never mind, carry on.

Actually, we will know what goes on or doesn't go on behind closed doors if your children smell! And I'm sorry to say quite a few of my kids' friends really reek. I wonder how their parents can not notice, or if they even care.

we have a 3 y.o. and twins 16 months old. we do nearly every night. The twins almost always have something in thier hair after meals and we spen a lot of time outside. Plus all three LOVE the bath. I am alone most evenings and find it an easy, small space to confine all 3 kids for 30 minutes and they are all happy! As with PPs -while I do wash hair many evenings I go light on the soap many nights.

I have a 9mo. Usually it's once a week as she isn't getting dirty. Her bottom gets cleaned after every diaper change and her hands, feet and face are washed daily. If she gets into something or has a BM that goes all over the place, she definitely will get a bath to clean her up. She's now getting more mobile. The number of baths each week in the future will depend on if she's getting dirty or not. If she's dirty, sweaty, etc, she'll get a bath.

We have a 13 month old girl, and we bathe her Sunday night, Tuesday night (or Wednesday if Tuesday if crazy or I'm tired) and Friday night.

I feel like she is very clean and we do a great job of cleaning her after diaper. Sundays and Fridays it's nice because I'm home with her all day those days so we can relax more at the nightly bath routine. Tuesday nights are a little more hectic because I'm tired after work but she still loves it. She gets a full bath, shampoo, etc. all 3 nights.

FYIW my mom bathed me Sunday night and Wednesday night until I was old enough to get a shower on my own and I turned out okay.

I do think we tend to over-bathe - I wish I didn't wash my hair 6-7days a week but I do. But we will probably stick to 3 baths a week for the next few years.

3 and 4 yo - Every day unless we were home all day and did not get into any mess at home.

We try to do it nightly because DS goes to the park/outside every day (if its nice) and we have to put bug spray since the bugs attack him. In the winter, its usually every other night unless he got particularly dirty.
